Hello! I'm Laura Schaposnik, I grew up in La Plata, Argentina and in my mid-twenties I  moved to Oxford, UK to get my PhD in Mathematics. Now, I'm a Professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago. My journey with education began early — I started teaching first graders at the age of 11, a passion that has only grown with time. I'm also the founder of Schapos Publishing, an indie publishing company dedicated to creating STEM-oriented children's books.

Reading is one of the most valuable gifts we can give to our children. 

The "Puedo leer con Paco" book series will help children learn to read in Spanish independently. 

We will soon launch a Kickstarter campaign to produce the book sets for Level 1 and Level 2 reader books.
